There are several different ways you can help!

Serve on the Friends of Omaha Public Library Board of Directors. This group of dedicated volunteers leads the organization by spearheading efforts for membership recruitment, book sales (online & in person), publicity, outreach, and more. Because the Friends are an all-volunteer nonprofit, this leadership is essential to the success of the organization.

Work at the book sales. Whether organizing and processing book donations, shelving books, working on internet sales or manning the cash register, there are many roles to fill in making this business profitable.

Advocate. Set up a table with information about becoming a Friend at a library event. Write a letter or Op-Ed article to your city council representative or local newspaper about the value and impact of the library in your community.
